I can’t believe that tomorrow I will have a 29 year old son. Hard to believe that time has flown by so fast. When looking back over Bubs lifetime, I remember how his life has always been one filled with music, art and books. He loves to read, draw and of course breathes music. And I found that while we were staying with him this weekend, I looked around and found that because of his love for all those arts, his life is still surrounded by it.
When I awoke from taking a short nap on his bed I glanced over at his small yet bulging at the seams bookcase filled with such wonderful books. (This of course, is just a bit of his collection of books), they seem to be in every room, stacked high and low. But I couldn’t help but notice that among his Bob Dylan, Jack Kerouac, Walt Whitman, Hemingway, Matisse n Picasso, there were also such reads as The World of Pooh and the Holy Bible. You can learn alot about Bubs by taking a stroll in his place. You will find that he lives a very simplistic life that is defined by his music, his love of art, and his ever increasing desire to read everything and anything. I love that about him!
I love that he loves to keep learning about everything and that you can talk to him about anything. I adore my kids and I love being their mother more than anything. I love that I can learn so much from them yet feel I still have a few things to teach them. How blessed!
