I decided that since it really doesn’t feel much like the holiday season, with no place to decorate…I thought I would bake some pumpkin bread to give the illusion of it. Little did I know that the temp quarters is not your typical gourmet kitchen—actually it lacks many tools needed for cooking or baking. I discovered upon having already mixed some of the wet ingredients in none other than my antique lettuce Tupperware holder (the biggest bowl I could find), there was no can opener :(, nor was there measuring spoons (had to wing it), and luckily Jaquelyn loaned me a measuring cup…
So I pulled a knife out of the drawer and went to town.
I kept thinkin’ the whole time, how did pioneer women do it? I would prevail, and prevail I did! Four hours later, we had wonderfully delicious smelling and tasting pumpkin bread! Totally worth it!
Sharin’ my fave recipe —-my nephew Isaiah loves this and I hope someone’s been fixin’ it for him this fall cause it’s great!
Then a drive through the hill country helped~ xoxo
