We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. A very quiet one but great nonetheless. Boo made fun of me because I picked up an 8# turkey breast to cook for dinner. Well…we had Bubs over and he is a high-vege eating machine and he’s not real keen on meats, and being there was only three of us…well, yep! Anyway, dinner was great, Bubs played some tunes and we enjoyed the evening (minus L & Sweets)!
So our menu was: (& I actually forgot to make the stuffing)!
roasted turkey breast (mighty delicious)
roasted veges (sweet potatoes, red potatoes, celery, onion, carrots & rosemary) *I had the guys find me fresh rosemary and since they were at Central Market, they spotted a few plants in their flower beds…lol!
Bacon wrapped asparagus
Gravy and rolls
Apple dumplings for dessert!
On Friday, Boo promised to go over to help Bubs with some things around his place. I stayed behind and did some laundry. Then met up with them and Bubs friend – Sam and we headed out for Mexican food.
Today- Boo and I had lunch at the Saltlick, then drove to Johnson City and Fredericksburg for some sight seeing and a little shopping at their Trade Days. Got back in town to make a show that Bubs was playing at. Then home to rest up for our Sunday.
Here are some pics from our Thanksgiving break! ♥
