A little chai-chia with your Fall

09.23.18

You know what I love more than chai flavored anything?  Chia seeds.  And you know what I love more than chia seeds?  Fall!  We’re in luck cause I’m about to give you a little chai-chia with your Fall and you’re gonna ❤︎ it.

Usually it’s pumpkin this — pumpkin that, when we talk about Fall.  I’m totally alright with pumpkin, I mean I love pumpkin too.  But let’s talk about chai and all it’s glorious spices that make it so soothing and delectable.  You have ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves. Yum and you can’t go wrong with any of that.  Besides smelling amazing, it is so good going down on anything.  Like this amazingly simple overnight chai-chia oatmeal that you’re gonna love!

Let’s start with how easy it is. You basically throw everything together, cover it and place it in the fridge overnight.  Next day you can eat it cold or hot.  On cooler mornings, I like to warm it up and drizzle with a little honey.  It’s so good. Simple. Easy. Delicious.

It’s also dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan!

Overnight Chai – Chia Oatmeal

  • 2 c old fashioned rolled oats
  • 2 T chia seeds
  • 1 t ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 t ground ginger
  • 1/4 t ground cardamom
  • 1/8 t ground cloves
  • 2 1/2 c Almond milk

Combine ingredients in a medium bowl, cover with Saran Wrap or a lid and place overnight in fridge.  (*you can pour into small mason jars so they’re ready to go in the morning!). Serve warm or cold next morning and drizzle with honey or add some brown sugar to sweeten!

Besides being delicious it’s super good for you!  I mean chia seeds are the bomb in nutrients.  Packed full of omega and more and then you have yummy oats.  Cinnamon is delicious and so good for you too!

It’s always a hit and I love making this ahead of time – it makes a great start to any morning!
