Hello lovelies! A little spring dilemma… I’ve found that I don’t have a whole lot of Spring or Easter decor. Maybe because after I take down the hundreds of pieces of Fall & Christmas decor, the last thing I want is more decorations to find storage for. But who can resist a simple spring wood sign? Especially one as simple and cute as this!
I decided I could swing adding one more Spring piece to my meager collection. A decision always made easier when you have wood, paint, a Cricut machine and time to play!
When browsing through one of my favorite online shops, I saw the cutest canvas art with this same saying on it. A few minutes playing with graphics and I put together this adorable bunny, who looks a little confused. I added some carrots & voila!
Simple Spring Wood Sign DIY
Did you know you can go to most lumber/hardware stores and get free wood from their wood cutting pile? That’s what I do and I use ’em for miscellaneous projects. Just like this one.
I basically made it for less than $5 and you can’t beat that. The online one was $20 for an 8×10 print.
Supplies~
- 12×12 wood piece
- white paint
- foam brush
- Cricut template (provided)
Steps~
- apply two coats of paint to wood piece & allow to dry completely
- cut vinyl template provided and apply
- done ✓
Be sure to use the size shown on image below for best fit.
I didn’t apply a sealant or any sanding since I will be using it indoors and storing indoors.
Pretty simple, inexpensive, and fun little DIY! It makes a great addition to my very sparse spring decor collection.
Now don’t mind me while I go and enjoy the rest of my weekend by baking sugar cookies with the grands.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I hope you enjoyed this simple and adorable Easter DIY.
Cause it can’t get any simpler or cuter than this! ❤︎
