Gotta admit…this girl’s not a fan of italian food. But over the years I’ve discovered if I eat crappy italian…ex:pizza joints (pizza hut-gross, little caesar’s, and worse yet….Carino’s) I’m doomed. Stomach issues galore and terrible heart burn. BUT…when I dine at a small (true) italian establishment I really don’t get sick. Due (I’m sure) to the fresh ingredients and non-processed crapola. This post is fresh garlic & press for that Italian!
So I was excited when I was asked to review this little handy dandy garlic press.
Growing up, my momma used to grind all her fresh garlic in a molcajete like this one
(*mine is stored way up on my cabinets and I was too lazy to bring it down for a picture). Talk about “true, full flavor” taste! When you mince, press or grind your own garlic…it can’t be beat!
My sweet niece was visiting and one of her favorite dishes is spaghetti. So out comes my garlic press and fresh garlic cloves that I had the hubster pick up at the market.
It was quite simple to just pop those little babies in and press down. I even left the skins on some to try it’s effectiveness and voila!
Still pressed and minced out perfectly! PLUS the smell of fresh garlic cooking is amazing in itself. So here I am trying to find other purposes for this nifty little tool—cause I’m sure it’s awesome for other things as well as fresh garlic! Right?
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
