Whew – I have not been here for awhile— busy and not enough time. But here’s to catching up on Halloween traditions & celebration at GCC!
What are our Halloween traditions you ask? We start it all out by having a traditional meal. Grilled chicken legs, hot potato dish, wrapped green beans, cupcakes of some sort. As well as inviting our neighbors before we start handing candy out. Then it’s a movie. Either Hocus Pocus or Practical Magic!
Always an awesome time and this year we are having our new neighbors over for the annual Halloween dinner party!
Boo did a wonderful job with grilling the chicken and everything else just fell into place despite a busy day for both of us!
Favorite parts of Halloween–seeing the sweet babies dressed up for the night and heading out trick or treating!
We hung out in the yard with those neighbors that don’t have little ones to hand out candy, laughter and fun ensued and then it was movie night. This year was Hocus Pocus! Yay!!!
The rest of the weekend was great — mostly in part to the superb weather! Here’s the lowdown of what else took place as well as some pictures of the party and more.

Halloween traditions & celebration
Even poochie was feeling festive and ready for some Halloween fun!
I also had time to start decorating for Fall. The dining room table being the first one. This year I was going with pheasants, nature, pumpkins and more pumpkins. Don’t you just love all the Fall colors? I try to incorporate all those colors with whatever display I’m going to do and then move on to the rest of the house. For Fall that usually includes the fireplace mantle, the kitchen counter and the front porch!
More on the holiday table this week. Stay tuned~
