Halloween traditions & printables

Halloween traditions & printables

What do I love about fall so much?  It’s a combination really!

The colors, the weather, pumpkins, the anticipation of the upcoming holidays and Halloween!

Here I am sharin’ some cute free printables, (in case you love Halloween as much as me), some of our traditions and a rockin’ great recipe for our annual crowd potatoes!

Tradition~

Let’s start with our traditional Halloween “get together” meal we share with the neighbors and kiddos before the little darlin’s head out to do their trick or treatin’.

A look at this year’s invites:

Ready for handing out!

Then who doesn’t love seeing the little kiddos in their cute costumes while handing out treats?

After about an hour or so, we turn out the lights and if it’s an even year… we watch Hocus Pocus, on odd years it’s Practical Magic !

(Corny I know), but it’s our annual tradition at it’s best!!!

Traditional Halloween meal:

  • bbq’d chicken legs
  • oven potatoes for a crowd (literally if you’re having all the neighbors over)
  • salad
  • cupcakes
  • hibiscus blood red tea

RECIPE~

Easy Baked Potatoes for a Crowd (Houston Chronicle)

  • (2#bag) frozen hash brown potatoes (thawed)
  • 1 stick butter (melted)
  • (8 oz) sour cream
  • 12 oz cheddar (shredded)
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • (10 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • salt/pepper/paprika to taste

Preheat oven to 350°.  Lightly grease a large casserole dish or 13×9.  Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl. Bake 50-60 minutes.

FREE PRINTABLES~

Have you ever been BOO’ed???

Possibly at work or at school?   Being “Booed” is quite fun but at a whole different level if you get the neighbors involved!

booedrules

Add the rules with the printable instructions and a cute tag (attached) for you to enjoy!

CUTE PRINTABLE #2—

I make that potato recipe all the time (except I’ve never used butter). It’s always been a big hit.

I love this potato casserole and this is really the only time I make it. When I do, I always ask myself why I don’t make it more often. LOL
Thanks for following along Angie and hope all is well! hugs-Belle
