How much do you love your little pooch?  Because around GCC the Mr. says that our little one is pretty spoiled. Yes!  She gets HOMEMADE DOG TREATS that are better than anything you can buy anywhere.  FAIR WARNING— you’re dog(s) will go CRAZY over them!  They don’t have crack in ’em but you would think they do by the way ours bounces around in anticipation while I’m baking ’em.  It’s like she totally knows that’s whats going on!  CRAZY!!!

Pumpkin, Flax &  P-B Doggie Treats

1 egg
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1 tablespoon honey
1 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup ground flax seed

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Parchment line a baking sheet or lightly spray.
Stir together the egg, peanut butter, pumpkin, & honey in a medium bowl; blend thoroughly. Stir in the flour and flax seed; mix well. Roll into 1″ balls and flatten after placing on baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven until dry and golden brown, about 23 minutes, depending on size. Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.  Store in airtight container.  *I usually store mine in the fridge to extend their shelf life.  Since there’s fresh ingredients in these, they will get stale if left out on counter after a few days.
