Been working off and on & redecorating our guest bath. The light fixture I ordered finally came in yesterday and I took advantage of Boo being off today. (He comes in really handy)! So let there be light!
Let’s back track a little! I’ve since removed the standard construction mirror from the wall and replaced it with an antique one that I’ve had for many years. I painted the walls (Benjamin Moore Algonquin Trail / 1055), and am now replacing the existing light fixture with a “Belle” style one.
Check out the HUGE holes the builders gouged for the anchors and THEN the wiring isn’t even centered—c’mon! I hate when they do stuff like that. Plus, there were two other anchors that held the previous mirror and I hated to pry them out in fear of leaving bigger holes. Discovering this mess, we’re having to be creative and go a different route with installation.
The fixture I ordered had a smaller base and since the wiring hole is not centered, we decided to use an old board that Boo’s had. He’s kinda hung on to it cause he liked the aging on it. We decided to mount that piece on the way and run the wiring through it. Then we attached the light fixture on to that. My bathroom has a rustic theme to it, so this worked great.

Final pictures will be posted once we’re done with new drapes and decor.
In the meantime, I took a little time out to make some of our favorite fiber-filled muffins so I’m goin’ to kick my feet up and enjoy one of those with a cup of hot tea! Happy weekend folks!
