Today I find love in this little trove of treasures that I brought back with me from my recent trip H❤︎ME. I get treasures from my MIL each time I visit. She no longer uses or needs them but they mean something to her, therefore... they mean something to me. This time around it was the lambie cake pan.
.
LAMBIE CAKE PAN:
Bonnie Jaeger, used to make the most amazing cakes. Wedding cakes, birthday cakes, you name it. However, she used this pan to make 1st BIRTHDAY cakes for her 3 boys and the grandkids. This lambie has been around for probably 68 years and it still has a lot of use! It will also be passed down.
HEART MOLDS:
Over the years I have wanted to buy these molds when I've seen them at antique places but something always had me put them back. Each Valentine's Day I also thought, "why didn't I buy those?" Well...I'm there clearing out her cupboards and she tells me to go in the laundry room and get the giant sifter she wants me to have and what do I find??? Yes, a biz zillion heart molds nestled inside a plastic tub. I was so excited! .
The rest of the items are: her doughnut cutter and a red handled meat tenderizer to add to my other red handled pieces she's given me. All in all---a super sweet collection!

I had to share cause they make me happy!

Ever since we moved here, we reinstated family dinner on Sunday’s and it’s something I look forward to each week. Today, hubs grilled fajitas that we brought back from TX cause you can’t find the “real” thing here. They were the bonus to our family dinner!

Woke up to chilly weather today, and even though it might not be sunny and bright out...
I'm thankful to be H❤︎ME, that my kids are safe, we have each other, we have others that check in on us and we check in on them. We have what we need to trudge on and we know...GOD is in control!
Some might dispute. But sometimes in the darkest of moments, we can learn from them. You can choose to grow from it or cave in. You can be the LIGHT.
STOP with the hoarding, the selfishness the uncaring. THINK of OTHERS! Be thankful for what you have and where you're at. There are many giving all they've got for the survival of others. There are many behind the scenes doing what they can and unselfishly torn away from their families to do what needs to be done.
Yet some find this time to complain, criticize, and take advantage of others, to blame our leaders, to find fault in all.
Pretend for a moment that you're being watched 24/7 (NEWS ALERT)... is that really what you want HIM/others to see?

This is DoseeDoh our very spoiled, 12 year old Shitzu that feels the need to be attached at my hip when I'm sitting or sleeping.
My constant companion that feels like dead weight when she's sawing those logs. Seriously, how does such a tiny thing weigh so much when you're trying to move them away?
