My lighthouse has been forever dimmed…
She was my momma, or so that’s what I referred to her as. She passed away on Feb. 21st, leaving a beautiful legacy.
She was the guiding light in my life and in this sometimes crazy world. A beautiful lady and a more beautiful soul, a faithful servant, and the best MOTHER anyone could ask for. There were never harsh words between us. Love, respect, and admiration is what I had for her. She devoted her life to making sure all her babies had what they needed and that we knew the key to a happy life.
The purpose of a lighthouse if defined as…
A tower with a bright light, located at an important or dangerous place. The two main purposes of a lighthouse are to serve as a navigational aid and to warn of dangerous areas. It is like a traffic sign on the sea.
Momma was my traffic sign and navigational guide that always made sure I had what I needed in order to live life without harm and to be happy.
I will tell you a little of how she lived, what she loved, and what she feared.
- She lived a life filled with many children, friends & a long life.
- loved her children, to dance, to care for others, and our Lord and Savior.
- feared thunderstorms & for those that didn’t know Jesus Christ.
Momma taught us that the key to happiness is LOVING one another and believing in our ALMIGHTY. After that, all else were minor details.
She whistled like a canary, danced like a spinning top. Her hugs were the best! Praying for everyone she knew, especially her children, was a top priority. RED was her signature color and lipstick was a MUST!!!
I know she is now rejoicing in the presence of all those that she’s missed here on earth and finally enjoying her well deserved rest.
I will forever miss her hugs, smile, her kindness, the touch of her hand in mine, her laughter, her humor,
my lighthouse
her prayers, her love, but especially her presence. I am eternally thankful that she was my momma, my friend, my beautiful guiding light and that she brought me into this world.
Life has been much sweeter because SHE was such a massive part of it. I love you forever Momma & I miss you so already—Isabel the III.
And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. John 16:22

Thank you Angie–she was pretty magnificent and I was blessed because of her! ♥
Beautifully said, Belle. We all became better people by virtue of being touched by her light.
Blessed, indeed.
