The 5th and FINAL of my crock pot cooking series has finally arrived. The yummy Shredded BBQ Beef made simply with a roast and you can use a beef or pork roast, (or brisket) and some of your favorite seasonings for some delicious BBQ sandwiches! Just toss it in the crock pot along with some key spices, and you’re going to enjoy a simply put together meal that your entire family is going to love!
On the “grocery list” under the BBQ Sandwiches category, you’ll find the main ingredients needed, which aren’t many at all. A very inexpensive meal given that you’ll make several servings out of this one dish. I added some Worcestershire sauce, (which most have in the pantry) and liquid smoke, (which you might not have but it’s purely optional), but it will give you the added smoke flavor in most BBQ’s, but not needed!
Some simple food prepping and helpful tips that will make this dish super easy…
Actually…guess what? No prepping whatsoever! None, zilch, zero, zip!!! It won’t be long before you’ll have a crock pot full of deliciously moist shredded BBQ!

What you’re gonna love about this Shredded BBQ Beef recipe other than it’s amazing… is that you might possibly like the fact that it tastes like you spent hours smoking a brisket on the pit — but didn’t really 😉
Or that out of a small roast and very little effort, you’ll get to enjoy several servings and leftovers. You can even go way crazy and add this as a topping to the crock pot baked potatoes for a very filling, Texas styled meal!
This recipe is so good and you won’t want to stop at one sandwich! You can serve it with a Cole slaw, beans or chips and of course- a tall glass of iced tea!
