Well made it to Sunday and feeling tired, productive and chill as I post about my Texas-sized weekend haps! Let me start with the wonderful breakfast that was in our honor at the office…and not your typical, ordinary breakfast. Remember, it’s Texas and…everything is BIGGER n BETTER.
Seriously cute! Expecially the favors. Tiara, sunglasses, cosmetic bag and jelly beans in Tiffany blue, star studded magic wands and mini bundts with adorable whirly toppers! FABULOUS right? On the menu: ham/cheese croissants, fresh fruit & mimosas. My office peeps are the craziest-best!
Hubs and I headed over to catch our son’s show at Stay Gold, one of Austin‘s hippest new music venues. They played to a packed house and we were entertained to a bit of Texas swing, jazz, country and Latin tunes. The night turned into early morning and when we bid our farewells at the show, we headed to the Magnolia Cafe for some early breakfast…
well, for Texas sized pancakes that is. Ridiculous huh? The Magnolia stays open 24/7 and they have some of the best meals around. This little lady settled for a banana nut pancake–which was yum & smaller than this “bigger than the plate” monster!
The rest of my weekend haps included baking & cooking, since I was cleaning out my freezer and found too many frozen items like pumpkin, bananas and, let’s not forget the Texas dove. Bread along with baked bacon-wrapped dove (yep, recipe on later post), were on tap.
Then it was finally accomplishing some wood projects that I’ve been wanting to get done. I will share this project later, but speaking of Texas… are you a TEXAS homey? How would you like to try this new Purex detergent?
It’s available at only certain stores in Texas. If you want to try it for free, “COMMENT” me your location.
(*limited to 5 people/up to $7 value)
Aside from being Texas bluebonnet fresh & sweet smelling, it came in handy when I had to wash my paint/stain splattered, sweaty -sawdust- filled clothes after working on my weekend wood project. It sure does the job right!
Everything else is good with the GCC world. The herb garden and plants everywhere are as green as can be, thanks to the rain we’ve had. A busy week is ahead before I head to spend sometime with my little family –can’t wait!
Blessings to y’all and thank you for following along~
Disclosure: I received this Purex detergent for free in exchange for my honest review. No other compensation was received. All opinions expressed are my own.
