Can I just tell you for a minute how I’ve missed brushing my hair, opening doors, typing, and picking up my grandsons?! The making of a house – making child’s playtime a whole lot more fun!
On Father’s Day I was busy making a lovely dinner for the dad’s. I took some trash out and noticed it looked like rain and the 10 sheets of drywall that had just been stacked on the back porch might get wet. I heard a voice tell me not to do it but I grabbed some moving blankets and while I tried to pull the stack away from the wall- they came towards me… heavy and fast. Long story short… I thought I’d broken my wrist when over 500 pounds of drywall crushed my right hand and when I saw blood gushing out.
Drywall is H E A V Y y’all! (I literally had no idea!)
An emergency room visit and X-rays showed no broken bones. (THANK GOD & I know I was being watched over!!!) Just major impact on my hand and the need for some stitching.
It’s been a long road but I’m hopeful my hand will soon be back to normal. I can at least type and keep you abreast now!
A few months ago I made this cute little recycled playhouse for my then, 3 year old grandson and his brother. I love recycling, building, and being creative. So if you tell me you want a playhouse… I’m gonna be all over that!
Not your ordinary box house, but one with a chimney and a pulley system for delivering snacks, toys, you name it. And some clever recycled items for the door knob and more.
Lots of tie wraps later and some battery mini lights on the inside for a sweet lil glow …we had a playhouse that my grandson was more than thrilled with! He & his brother have enjoyed playing in it for several months now! It’s actually survived their hard play!
I love watching them enjoying it!
Now, I just pray for further healing so I can get back to thinking outside the box!
ta ta – til next post!
