turkey tuesday

04.16.14

That’s what I christened yesterday at GCCottage!  Those of you that aren’t fans of cookin’ are gonna love this easy recipe I came up with.  Your family will ♥♥ it and ME for sharin’ it w/y’all!  Let’s start with turkey tuesday my peeps–you ready?

So a few weeks ago I came across this new marinating packet by McCormick’s at the grocery store and I was intrigued as I covet sweet tea, so naturally this little fancy-name-for-a-marinade caught my attention.  “SMOKIN’ SWEET TEA” marinade.  (I’m pretty sure that the him/her that came up with the name for this, well- we would be kindred spirits! How could we not?

FOCUS—two packets in hand, I came home and tried the first one on a sirloin steak that Boo grilled.  DELICIOUS people!

Fast forward to today when I decided to fix turkey for dinner.  So, the followin’ was the awesome outcome!

Yum right?  Well, here you go…please try it- you will thank me later!

SWEET TEA TURKEY TENDERLOIN

2# package (about 2) turkey tenderloins (I sliced each half for 4 portions—leftovers guys)!

1 packet McCormick smokin’ sweet tea marinade (follow packet but you will need oil, apple cider vinegar ‘n water)

turkey Tuesday-ingredients

Mix packet and ingredients in a large storage bag and blend well.  Add the turkey and refrigerate for at least 15 min.  I left mine in there for about 30 due to distractions, (dog givin’ me slight attitude).

Turn your grill to medium/high heat and grill each side for 6-8 minutes (adjust accordingly).

That’s it!  Easy wasn’t it?

I drizzled this yumminess Hatch Pepper Honey Glaze  before serving. I buy it at Central Market or some HEB’s carry it, but if you’re not in Texas, you can order from the link attached or you can put your favorite glaze on yours.  Roberts Reserve has loads of gluten free products and all natural as well, that are delicious.  Here are my two fave’s!

I served it with a side of mashed potatoes and my favorite Belle salad.

There it is!  Simple and delicious. Don’t you wish all meals were that easy?  Enjoy~
